eXo raises $6M to strengthen US Market

eXo Platform, the company being eXo Portal and eXo CMS, has brought in $6 million in a first round of funding. As per the press release, the objective is to strengthen sales and marketing in US.

eXo already has a strong-presence in France, and with this eXo is all set for US.

Congrats Benjamin. Should I say beware Liferay? ;-)

  1. I agree, it's going to be interesting to see how eXo will challenge Liferay in the near future. GateIn hasn't been a success yet, but the if the strategic partnership with JBoss community starts to bear fruit, it might beat the Liferay in the long run. Red Hat definetly has experience in the middleware and integrating portal to middleware stack is imo more important than latest Web 2.0 portlets with neat Alloy UI graphics. However it takes a lot more than $6M to get the eXo or GateIn to the next level.

  2. I appreciate the information. Java is one of the consistent player from the development industry which has been providing the wider scope for developers to come out with different solutions.
